LAS VEGAS, NV – October 15, 2019 – The International Fastener Expo (IFE) 2019 has announced more than 5,000 professionals in the fastener, machinery and tooling, and industrial-related industries attended the show on Sept. 17-19 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Bayside D & E, in Las Vegas, Nevada, resulting in an increase in qualified buyers per exhibitor. An increase in the number of attending master distributors was also announced. A greater portion of all attendees were sourcing and procurement professionals. Show organizers noted an increase in exhibiting companies, particularly in the North American segment, with over 59 new exhibitors, bringing the total number of exhibitors to over 650. Noteworthy companies included Mag Instrument, Inc., Midsun Specialty Products, Attica Automation, Inc., and others. This year’s agenda debuted the Golf Tournament, featured a packed education conference, and touted higher attendance at the annual Welcome Reception.
IFE 2019 was kicked off by Tuesday morning’s inaugural Golf Tournament, where more than 100 players and 26 teams teed up at the award-winning Bali Hai Golf Club for networking, good times, and friendly competition. IFE announced the winners of the tournament with a score of 55 (-16) – Bob Baer, Jason Bertone, John Gaudette, Rich Cavoto. Second and Third Place, Longest Drive, and Closest to the Pin were also awarded.

A two-and-a-half-day conference agenda of 12 sessions and two full-day workshops also began on Tuesday morning with insights on new fastener innovations and solutions to finding skilled workers. Richard Wortman of Grunfeld, Desiderio, Lebowitz, Silverman & Klestadt (GDLSK), closed the day with a session on the current administration’s trade policy, including how to strategize around the tariffs impacting importers.
With more than 900 arriving at the Daylight Beach Club on Tuesday night, IFE 2019 announced that this year’s annual Welcome Reception had at-capacity attendance. Golf Tournament winners were honored at the event, with an open bar, light appetizers and a live DJ rounding out the entertainment.

As the perfect ending to both nights, more than open-bar capacity showed up for more after-hour networking at the ‘Nightcap’ at the Eyecandy Sound Lounge.
On Wednesday, favorites included a highly-attended overview on aerospace fasteners, and how they differ from industrial fasteners, as well as, the annual Fastener Professional Award Ceremony. At the standing-room-only event, attendees were treated to speeches by the award winners – Edward McIlhon, Assembled Products, Inc. (API), and Martin “Marty” Nolan, R.L. English Co., who were inducted into the 2019 Hall of Fame, and Baron Wayne Yarborough, Spring Bolt and Nut Manufacturing, who was recognized as the Young Fastener Professional of the Year.
